Aly & Erik’s Wedding – Fort Langley

I was excited to work with Aly & Erik the first time I met them last summer for a coffee! They are the cutest couple and I could just tell their wedding day would be lots of fun! Aly & Erik met through their families. Aly’s dad and Erik’s Uncle were best friends in high school and Aly’s parents spent a lot of time up in Manning Park at Erik’s grandparents cabin. One December when they were up in Manning with their families, Erik invited Aly for a snowmobile ride and things began as friends at first but about a year later they started dating. So of course, when your first date takes place on a snowmobile, a winter wedding seems very fitting!

Aly & Erik tied the knot in Fort Langley on the coldest day of the year but despite the FREEZING weather outside, everything throughout the day felt so warm and full of love.  The bridal party were all troopers and Erin Fraser Photography managed to get some absolutely gorgeous shots of out and around Fort Langley with everyone.

I loved Aly’s vision for her winter wedding.. navy and golds with lots of greenery. Their ceremony and reception took place at one of our favourite venues, Fort Langley Community Hall. They rented dark wooden folding chairs from Lonsdale Event Rentals and used mix-matched lanterns on each table which really brought the vision together. Kaye Fleur did an amazing job with the flowers and greenery! I LOVED Aly’s bouquet.

Aly and Erik’s wedding day included all their friends and family! I especially loved all Aly’s nieces and nephews who were include in the festivities! They were so adorable!

I loved every minute of working with these two and wish them all the best in this newest adventure! Thanks Aly & Erik for including me in your day!

For the Bride & Groom’s Perspective:

Three words to describe our day: beautiful, fun, perfect
Favourite moment: Erik: Seeing Aly for the first time coming down the aisle, Aly: seeing Erik for the first time, and the whole ceremony, I was just so happy and excited!
About their experience working with Glass Slipper Event Planning:
Having Stephanie and her team work with us was hands down the BEST decision we made! Stephanie ensured that our day ran smoothly, and we didn’t have to worry about anything other then enjoying the experience. She contacted and made arrangements with our vendors, was there for our rehearsal, and was even getting guests drinks at the reception. Everyone kept telling me I was such a calm bride, which I’m pretty sure was thanks to Stephanie because she took all of the stress out of the planning, and the day itself. Walking into our wedding space was like walking into a dream because it was exactly how I had pictured it in my mind. We are still talking about how amazing everyone at Glass Slipper was, and how our wedding wouldn’t have been as amazing without them!
Special thanks to the amazing team of vendors who brought this day together!
