Jackson & Robyn’s Beauty and the Beast Inspired Wedding

Inspired by Beauty and the Beast and a Valentine’s theme colour palette Robyn & Jackson’s wedding in February was absolutely too beautiful not to be blogged!

The couple tied the knot February 11th, 2016 at the Pinnacle Harbourside Hotel in downtown Vancouver. Their ceremony and reception was in the beautiful Vista room which has a complete 360-degree view of Vancouver. One of the reasons they chose the venue was because their first official date was to Stanley Park and there is a great view of the sea wall and the Lions Gate Bridge.

Stunning florals were provided by Justyna Events! The colours were fantastic for the Valentine’s theme. Robyn incorporated lots of Disney accents and even her table numbers had a very vintage, romantic Beauty & the Beast feel.

I loved that Robyn wore a leather jacket for her photos to show her edgy side and Jackson’s blue Ted Baker suit worked so nicely with the colour scheme. No Valentine’s wedding would be complete with out a candy bar and of course some cinnamon hearts! I especially loved these big YUM marquee letters we rented through Bespoke Décor. Robyn & Jackson incorporate their love of games by having couches and tables set up away from the dance floor for guests to play vintage games like Jenga and Operation.

Below is a bit more about the day from the bride & groom’s perspective.

Three words to describe your wedding day:

“Romantic, Gorgeous, Happy, Family (4 words sorry) “- Jackson

Favourite/funniest moment of the wedding day:

“Many favorite moments. One of them is when Robyn and I had some time to ourselves to see all the decorations Stephanie and Justyna put up. We were near the candy bar by ourselves and had the time to privately laugh together.”- Jackson

“Funniest moment was when our officiant Bonnie said my bride was Stephanie instead of Robyn.”- Robyn

What you loved about Glass Slipper Event Planning:

“As the groom, I was very impressed by the work ethic and quality of Glass Slipper’s service. Stephanie delivers beyond your expectations and brings her best work every second she is at your service. Having her as our coordinator for our wedding was one the best things we ever did. We could not have done it without her. Working with her for 6 months during the planning, she was always happy, friendly, and willing to make your special day the best it can be. She is so excited about your wedding that sometimes I forget it is me that is getting married and not her.”- Jackson

“Stephanie is also a great problem solver on the fly. When things break or go wrong, she will have it fixed for you before you even see that something went wrong.”- Robyn

“I am already recommending her to friends and family for their future wedding events. Thanks Stephanie!”  -Robyn
