Our 5 Favourite Lower Mainland Wedding Venues

Well I must admit, picking our favourites is always hard and with each year and having the opportunity to visit new venues we’re never been before the list gets longer and longer. We’ve selected five very different venue weddings below that continue to be our favourite venues to work at!

First up is the gorgeous, historic Fort Langley Community Hall.  This building which was built in the 1930’s is still the host of many community events today.  This iconic venue is a polished, elegant, yet casual place to hold your big day in the heart of historical Fort Langley. Fort Langley offers many spots for couples to leave for photos minutes from the venue.  From our experience, Fort Langley Community Hall,  can accommodate 150-175 guests comfortably with a dance floor. Clients like the option to bring in their own vendors such as catering as well as supply their own alcohol. The venue offers full prep kitchen and bar area. Ceremonies in the warmer months often take place outside with the building as the backdrop however inside also can be decorated and arranged to seat a ceremony and then flip over for the reception.

Heading a little more west into Vancouver is the stunning UBC Botanical Gardens.  This venue is the perfect spot for any summer wedding.  Surrounded by fresh flowers and lively nature creates the most whimsical environment to join your love with your significant other. There are a few spots couples can select for their ceremony and reception but our favourite is the lawn & the arbour. The arbour is what Pinterest is made for! We are super excited to be back at UBC Botanical Gardens for four weddings this season!

Nestled on West Georgia Street in Vancouver this is one of “Vancouver’s most historic retreats.”  The Rosewood Georgia Hotel “combines the grandeur of the Roaring Twenties with contemporary design in the heart of Vancouver.”  It is the perfect venue for any upscale, lavish wedding.

For all the country lovers out there, this list wouldn’t be complete without showcasing the earthy, cozy venue that is Maan Farms of Abbotsford BC.  This venue is full of natural beauty from the ceremony site to inside the actual farm.  The 2,000 sq.ft. antique barn features exposed wood beams, country décor, a rustic gazebo and outdoor courtyard overlooking the farm. This is a fantastic spot place in the Fraser Valley to have that boho chic, rustic wedding you have always dreamed of.

Last but certainly not least, the Hart House Restaurant in Burnaby is a gorgeous estate built in the early 1900’s and situated on Deer Lake. There are many options within the venue for your wedding however our favourite is the lawn and the tent. The tent can accommodate 200 guests and comes draped and chandeliers as well as walls and heaters. The lawn for the ceremony faces Deer Lake offering guests picturesque views and you might even see the occasion kayaker in the background. The 3 acre grounds offer many locations for photos so many couples opt to stay on the property for their follows. The staff and service team are incredible to work with and it is always a pleasure to be a vendor at the Hart House
