Carlos & Angela’s Fall Wedding

We had such a great time working with Angela & Carlos to plan their wedding in October. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to work with them and all the amazing vendor team and venues.  Angela is actually the younger sister of a friend from high school and her cousin is one of my sister’s best friends so it felt like a family affair right from the get-go!

Angela and the bridesmaids got ready at the beautiful new Element by Westin in Burnaby.

Their beautiful ceremony took place at the Celebration Pavilion at Queen Elizabeth Park. This is one of our favourite ceremony venues in Vancouver. It needs so little decor because it is already so gorgeous! We love the ceiling and how the back opens up to create an outdoor backdrop for the bridal party.

You can tell how a man will treat a women by watching him with his mom or Grandma. Carlos was so respectful to them both. It was really special to see. And these two flower girls… how adorable are they?

After the ceremony, they took a few photos around Queen Elizabeth Park and then decided to get out of the rain and stay dry so they head back to the reception venue, the Anvil Centre in New Westminster and grabbed these gorgeous shots on their staircases. The rain let up for about twenty minutes and they were able to head down Columbia Street to get some photos at the Quay in front of the historic  building which was a Canadian Pacific Railway station (and more recently The Keg).

For cocktail hour, they added a little latin flavour and had CadaUdo play. They also had a stunning lavender and white flower wall for a #selfie station provided by Mur De Fleurs.  Their reception was decorated by Elegantly Covered Events who always does an amazing job! We loved the lavender accents and the gorgeous centrepieces.

After the speeches, which included Angela’s mom speaking in Spanish for Carlos’s mom and Grandma, the couple cut their wedding cake provided by Sugarplum Pantry and made their way to the dance floor for their first dance. The dance floor stayed packed the whole night with tunes from Jeff Jose.

Thanks to all the amazing vendors who contributed to making Angela & Carlos’s wedding day special.
